Driven by our desire to glorify God and in obedience
to His commission, Wycliffe South Africa assists the church;
to help Bibleless peoples of the world receive His Word in their
heart language.
Nearly half of the world's 7000 languages do
not have even one verse of God's word. Millions of people are still
waiting for a translation of the Scriptures. And while these people
wait, they are cut off from fully understanding God's love and
God's ways.

Most Bibleless people groups are located in four major zones or clusters.

Without God's
Word:
church
planters can't effectively share the Gospel and
disciple new Christians without God's Word.
Christian
radio can't beam Scripture into remote areas unless it
has been translated.
worship,
evangelism, discipling – all ministries are hampered
unless people have a Bible they can really understand.
|
Nearly 300
million people . . . are waiting for a chance to
learn more about God and worship Him in their own
language.
They've waited long enough!

|
 |
In
order to shorten their wait, Wycliffe South Africa is partnering
with indigenous churches and Bible translation organisations
around the world to bring God's Word to them sooner rather
than later. Together we are committed to beginning Bible
translation work in every language that needs it by 2025.
